#LinkedInLocal is a meetup concept in over 350+ cities world wide. It was created with the purpose to unite people from all walks of life, in one facilitated event, to genuinely get to know the humans behind the LinkedIn profiles, and connect beyond the job titles, business cards and company names. These events are curated to bring our tribes together and remind ourselves why it's important to connect out of the digital world. How our job titles, degrees and backgrounds are just a fraction of who we are and that we have the capacity to be more and to do more when surrounded by the right people. This month we are celebrating the season. Not only is it the season of friends, family, libations, and bad sweaters, but it is also the season of giving. How fitting that we close 2018 seeing the rewards of our hard work and dedicated meetings as a community. We have a very special presentation planned for our last event of the year. You will hear from Cindy Covington, a once single mother living in public housing with no job. Through Living Classrooms, she started working in the landscaping industry. Cindy now heads up a team that works to clean over 4,000 city owned properties in Baltimore. Hear her story and join us as we present our donation check to Living Classrooms Foundation for proceeds raised this year through LinkedIn Local Baltimore.
